I do not possess the lightning wit of my friend, Sherlock Holmes, it is true...Collapse )

Excerpts from the Diary of a Drowned Man

Title: Excerpts from the Diary of a Drowned Man
Author: bluepercy
Word Count: 962
Rating: R. Nothing really explicit, but references to sex.
Warnings: Disjointed narrative!
Summary: Watson mourns, post FINA.
A/N: Okay, so here is the scene: I have finished the first draft of "Not a Rational Organ." My brain is full of the story, but at the same point I'm on a bit of a writing high and I don't want to stop writing and go edit and revise. I instead embark upon an ill-fated sequel until I'm a little calmed down and can deal with revision properly. I do this sometimes. I have piles of ill-fated sequels on my computer.

I went back and looked at it later and discovered that really, it was excruciatingly boring, but there were some bits I liked so I typed those up, rearranged them, added a bit, and now I have this, which I guess can be considered to be a sequel to "Not a Rational Organ" but can also just as easily stand alone.

Not a Rational Organ

Title: Not a Rational Organ
Author: bluepercy
Word Count: 8299
Rating: PG, I think.
Warnings: none
Prompt: Mary/Watson/Holmes and/or pairs in any configuration -- Watson disappears one night and Mary and Holmes must work together to find him.
A/N: This is possibly very stupid but I've been looking at it so long that I can't tell anymore. I can't even tell if I like it any more but it's as done as it's going to be.

Also, I have never written any sort of mystery before this, even a really weak one like this, and it probably came out a little less Sherlock Holmes and a little more No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency. Apologies.

Highly Disturbing

TITLE: Highly Disturbing
AUTHOR: bluepercy
PAIRING: Holmes/Watson
RATING: PG, I guess. Implied.
SUMMARY: A little thing, about a page long, that came out of something I dreamt. I dreamed I read two sentences, on paper, immediately before waking. There was nothing else on the page, but I knew that the speaker was Watson.

"That is highly disturbing," I said. So were his petticoats.

And that should tell you everything you need to know.

And upon waking up with this bizarre phrase in my mind, this demanded to be written, and posted, and that makes me feel slightly better because I didn't really want my first H/W ever posted to be the Beeton Off prompt, because that's starting to get long and imposing and why did I pick that prompt, of all of them.

Actually, on second thought, it may have said "my petticoats" and not "his."
